After consolidating with Warren Western Reserve High School in 1990, Warren Harding fielded one of their best teams in school history, finishing the season 14-0 in winning the Division 1 state championship. Many great players headlined this squad, so many players accounted for the Raiders' success, but Omar Provitt left fans & opposing teams in awe. Provitt is arguably one of the most electrifying players to ever suit up in Ohio. His speed & soft hands made him a big play waiting to happen, and he always shined in the biggest games. As a junior in the 1990 state title game against Cincinnati Princeton, Provitt had 5 receptions for 182 yards while scoring touchdowns of 84 & 55 yards out (his 84 yarder is a Division 1 championship game record to this day). While his career didn't excel past the high school level, there haven't been many players, if any at all, that dominated on the gridiron quite like Provitt did.
