2007 Soph year Highlights

by David Baugh
Bigger doesn't always mean better, but you can't teach size.  O'Neal Brown won't turn 16 until October, but the junior-to-be already checks in at 6'6, 210 pounds!  After showing some good signs at outside linebacker his sophomore year, many colleges are already thirty for more of what Brown has to offer.  He's still growing, so it's a likely possibilty that we'll see him lined up at defensive end this fall.

Back in June, many Raiders made it up to Ohio State's advanced senior camp, and Brown didn't disappoint.  He knows that his expectations are high, and he also knows that he's not where he wants to be.  While excited but humble, he's not satisfied with just being highly thought of.  He knows that it's time to show the state that he can become the player that colleges want him to be.  If he continues to progress, he'll begin to bring in offers before 2008 is over.
