Levi George Video

Part One

By David Baugh
As a  6'1, 288 pound center, Levi George didn't have
the size of most of the better offensive linemen that
have come through Ohio.  Nevertheless, you'd be hard
pressed to find a center with the strength and
technique that George displayed under the lights.
That, combined his vicious "mean streak," made him one
of the better offensive linemen in Warren G. Harding
history, if not the best.  That's a huge statement,
but George is as good as they come.  As a four year
starter (his first three at Youngstown Boardman),
George went up against some of the best that Ohio had
to offer, holding his own throughout.  By his senior
year, he was literally a pancake waiting to happen.
He concluded his high school career with a solid
performance in the 2006 Big 33 Game in Hershey, PA, as
he was solid against two of the top ten defensive
tackles in the country.  Toledo got a huge steal in
George, and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a
four year letterman, if not starter, at the next level.
