In recent seasons. Cleveland Glenville has become a hotbed for talent. Many players, the likes of Ted Ginn Jr., Troy Smith, Pierre Woods, and many others have taken their skills to the NCAA. While he may not have received the hype as some of the other former Tarblooders, Freddie Lenix is one of my favorite players that came out of Glenville. At 6'0, 195 pounds, Lenix's speed and awareness made him a standout at linebacker and solid at tailbak when needed. There was little that opposing offense to do from keeping him from making big plays. Games of ten or more tackles were frequent and he defended the pass as good as a safety. Originally, Lenix accepted an offer from The Ohio State University, but after attending a year of prep school after graduating from high school, Lenix enrolled at the University of Cincinnati. That was a huge pickup for the Bearcats
